While mother monster may have been channeling Mary Magdalene for her latest single, this ferocious, chaotic dub step remix by Andre Jetson makes Gaga sound like she summoned the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Listen below.

Divine Revelation Or Holy Terror? Lady Gaga's "Judas " Video

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that Lady Gaga's new clip for her single "Judas" was set to premiere today on the E! Channel. Fortunately (for us anyway) it's leaked about eight hours early. Much tongue wagging has been made of the video's religious subject matter, as Gaga takes on the role of Mary Magdalene and sings of her love for the treacherous Judas.

When talking about the clip and its concept, the singer explained  "Well the video, in essence, suggests that [pauses] forgiveness and betrayal are hand in hand and that... how do I say this? The video puts destiny above all things and postures that the mistakes in your life are in fact not mistakes at all, they are just part of your overarching potential and your destiny."

"I want to allow the video to speak for itself but I will say that the theme of the video and the way that I wanted to aesthetically portray the story was as a motorcycle Fellini movie where the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem," she said. "And I play Mary Magdalene leading them into the town where we meet Jesus and I will leave the rest for you to see. But it's meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it."

Personally I feel that the video is good, but not great. It contains many Gaga motifs--surreal theatrics, over-the-top outfits, garish makeup, dancers (the lipstick gun gets a definite thumbs up)--but the whole product doesn't come off with a bang the way previous epics like "Paparazzi," "Bad Romance," "Telephone" or "Born This Way" did. Casting the disciples as a modern-day biker gang  was a nice twist, but she should have scrapped the dance sequences and concentrated more on the overall storyline, which could have provided some great visual scenes. Perhaps the fact the video was being filmed on the same stage as Janet Jackson's "Escapade" inspired her to bust a move.

But a good Gaga video is still better than 85 to 90 percent of other music clips that are out there, so it's definitely worth watching. Maybe when the uncut version premieres later today, it'll contain some new surprises. Watch "Judas" HERE.

Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake To Appear On SNL

Lady Gaga will be appearing on Saturday Night Live next month as a musical guest. The singer's appearance on May 21 is timed perfectly for the release of her new CD Born This Way, set to drop May 23. Although he's been MIA from the music scene for a few years now, Justin Timberlake will also be hosting SNL the same night as Gaga's performance.

Lady Gaga's 'Judas' Tops iTunes, Battles Rihanna For No.1 Spot

Although it was only released, or rather leaked, on Friday, Lady Gaga's new single "Judas" is in the running to debut at No.1 on Billboard's Hot 100 next week. However Gaga will have contend will fellow pop diva Rihanna's current hit "S&M," the sales of which have been boasted by a new "Rihmix" featuring Britney Spears. Industry insiders predict the collaboration could sell nearly 300,000 downloads of the track.

According to Billboard.com, "'Judas' would have to sell north of 350,000 -- close to 400,000 -- with less than two and-a-half days of sales in the week, in order to possibly debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Also playing a role in its initial Hot 100 ranking will be the radio audience impressions "Judas" will garner through the end of the airplay tracking period which runs through Tuesday (April 19). A fast first week start at radio, similar to "Born This Way" (78.6 million), would certainly help Gaga's No. 1 cause."

New Music: Lady Gaga "Born This Way (The Country Road Version)"

Take a listen to the country road version of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way." It's a stylistic departure that surprisingly works, ditching the disco stomp of the original for a bluesy, country rock throw down that retains the song's sassy edge.

Lady Gaga To Release Country Version Of "Born This Way," Album Art Leaks

Lady Gaga plans to release what she calls "the country road version" of her number one hit "Born This Way." The singer tweeted "Surprise Monsters! Born This Way (The Country Road Version) will be released on Twitter tomorrow at 12am PST/3am EST 3/25." This should be interesting.

In other Gaga news, the album artwork for Born This Way may have been leaked. The photos include the album's front and back cover, as well a listing of all 14 tracks and shots of the album booklet. You can view the photos here.

Malaysia Bans Pro-Gay Lady Gaga Lyrics

Seems like Malaysia isn't feeling the pro-gay Gaga love. The conservative, Muslim majority country has taken issue with some of the singer's lyrics in her hit "Born This Way," to the point of censoring some of the lines. According to Popeater.com:


"Radio stations in Malaysia have made the decision to censor the track, replacing lyrics like "no matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life" with garbled sounds.

A statement from Malaysia's largest private station, AMP Radio Networks, defended the call, saying, "The particular lyrics in 'Born This Way' may be considered as offensive when viewed against Malaysia's social and religious observances." It continued, "The issue of being gay, lesbian or [bisexual] is still considered as a 'taboo' by general Malaysians" -- as well as the government, which can impose fines on broadcasters for infringing on the ban. "

Pang Khee Teik, co-founder of Sexuality Independence, an anti-sexual discrimination group in Malaysia, didn't agree with the decision, and believes such actions by the media fuel ignorance and hate. "We just want the same thing as everyone else: to love, be loved and have our songs played on the radio," he said.

Lady Gaga isn't the first artist to feel the wrath of Malaysia's censorship. Fellow diva Rihanna agreed to change her costumes to fit the country's strict performance guidlines when she performed there in 2009, while Beyonce pulled the plug on her 2007 performance when groups threantened to protest the show. And last year a Muslim group protested openly gay singer Adam Lambert's performance even after he agreed to follow performance guidelines.

Lady Gaga Concert Special To Air On HBO

Lady Gaga and her army of little monsters will invade HBO when the singer's first concert special airs on May 7th. HBO entertainment president Sue Naegle expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming concert, saying the superstar is "the single most exciting music talent on the scene today. We’re especially thrilled that she’ll be creating unique new elements for the special that will make the show an even more memorable experience for our viewers.”

The special will tape February 21st and 22nd at Monster's Ball shows at New York's Madison Square Garden. The concert will air a few weeks before the release of the pop star's highly anticipated sophomore album Born This Way, set for release on May 23rd.

Lady Gaga "Born This Way"

After months of anticipation, "Born This Way" has now been officially unleashed upon the world. My thoughts? The track sounds a lot like Madonna's "Express Yourself," but updated for 2011. Or a slightly sped up variation on Pink's "God Is A DJ."

The lyrics are very uplifting and empowering, and could be seen as an homage to Carl Bean 70's hit "Born This Way." The song does grow on you with each listen, but I was expecting something a little different, since she was advertising the new album as more rock-influenced. In short, it's good and it'll definitely sell, but not an EPIC, stop-you-in-your tracks hit. Listen for yourself below:

Lady Gaga To Premiere "Born This Way" On Friday

Lady Gaga fans are in luck. Instead of having to wait for the superstar's new single "Born This Way" to debut at the Grammys this Sunday, Gaga has decided to release the track this Friday. The singer tweeted "Can't wait any longer, single coming Friday" yesterday.

Lady Gaga Announces 'Born This Way' Single and Album Release Date

Gaga announced the release dates for her upcoming disc Born This Way and it's first single on Twitter. According to PopMusicUniverse:

"'THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 1,' GaGa tweeted. If that looks confusing to you for some reason, the single will premiere on February 13th (Grammy night) and the album will be released on May 23rd."

Lady Gaga Set To Release New Single

Lady Gaga's little monsters will have to wait a few more months for new music. The first single from the pop superstar's new album is set to drop in February 2011, according to fansite Lady-Gaga.net. The singer described Born This Way "bad kids going to church, having fun on a high level," to site manager Alexander Melchert, and thanked fans for their support in a video post on the site.
