My Morning Jacket To Release New Album This Spring
My Morning Jacket will release their sixth album entitled Circuital. To celebrate the new album the band will give away six downloads a week, the first of which began March 3rd. The first five downloads will be live tracks taken from each night of their memorable week at New York's Terminal 5 back in October. On the sixth week, the band will give away a song from the new album.
The band returned to their roots to record Circuital, laying down tracks in Louisville, the birthplace of both the band's and most of the members, and in Nashville inside of a gym located within a church. Frontman Jim James co-produced the record with Tucker Martine, best known for his work with groups like R.E.M. and The Decemberists. The loose, spontaneous production has resulted in a sound that both forges new ground and retains the band's familiar spirit.
